1. Accept yourself: Listen, we all got problems, but so what? That’s life. The point isn’t to make those problems more difficult for ourselves; the point is to ACCEPT yourself for all of them and then learning how to tackle them to RISE above them (instead of below them.) Often, it’s not until we accept whatever it is that we need to allow that we can adequately deal and move on with it.

2. Forgive yourself: I may not have a lot of regrets, but that doesn’t mean I can’t forgive myself for the way I had treated myself when I took actions that went against love. We can all forgive ourselves and ease up on ourselves a lot more when we practice forgiveness and compassion towards ourselves and those around us.

3. Do the inner-work: I used to think that I didn’t love myself enough, always seeking to do more. And while that isn’t the worst thing in the world, I had a realization that all the inner work that I was doing was also a way of loving myself and how remarkably enough that was. It allowed me to necessarily take a chill-pill about it and lighten up a bit.

4. Nurture yourself: When you’re feeling lost, down, etc., this is a great tool to nurture yourself. We sometimes look at life or others to ‘nurture’ us and make us feel better, but the reality of it is that we too have the power to nurture ourselves. Nurture yourself like a mother nurtures her baby. Or how you may nurture your puppy, etc., just do the same for yourself šŸ™ƒ

5. Show up for yourself: Whether it’s wearing that amazing outfit that makes you feel beautiful or stepping into your integrity and standing up for something, showing up for yourself helps you build and maintain the truth of who you are. This helps you so that you don’t have to venture out too far and get lost in society’s expectations of you.

6. Take care of your mind, body, and soul: Not only do you look better, but you feel better too. Write down a list of how YOU can take care of your mind, body, and soul because it can differ from person to person! For example, to take care of my mind, I meditate and watch my thoughts and often question them and re-evaluate if that’s what I want to be creating for myself. To take care of my body, I drink a lot of water, dance, and try to eat right. To take care of my soul, I do the things that light me up, such as getting out in nature, writing, and connecting to myself and my world.
