Pablo Neruda breaks down the simplicity of life right here and from a place of so much love. What Pablo Neruda is saying here is that on your death bed you won’t be thinking about anything other than the people who you loved and who loved you – nothing else matters. The feeling of that, is literally what makes us feel most alive if you break it down through all of the ‘conditions’/extras. The compassion and love that others have for us that we share back with them is indeed magical. It’s the core of love; of who we already are.
A good example is to think about being in love, how magical does that feel? Those feelings are something you literally can’t sleep about, or if you can manage to get any sleep in love, you can’t wake up the next day to continue showing and receiving those feelings with your human. How beautiful is that? Life can be that simple.
If you’re having trouble recognizing love around you, look at the relationships in your life that you are grateful for and ask yourself why. That will help you hone more into love. If this doesn’t work, ask yourself: who would I be really sad about that died. I know that’s an extreme example but death/losing loved ones does make us stop and feel. Why not stop and feel in a good way instead?
Love yourself and those around you extra and it will be easy to understand the magic of this quote by Pablo Neruda because you’ll constantly feel it. Be aware of the love and you’ll step into that magical aura of feeling it within you.
