When life hits us in the face with obstacles and challenges, we are quick to blame life and to judge ourselves.
You ask questions like, ‘why did that have to happen to me?”, and complain that “nothing is ever working out for me.”
But it’s not true. It’s not happening TO us; it’s happening FOR us. And FOR a reason.
We often want to blame something else whether it’s our circumstances, people around us, God, etc., for things that happen to us, but we forget our role in life when sh*t goes down.
Every experience is individual. Every reaction is personal. But what if we stop blaming the world for our problems and become accountable for them instead? What if we began to ask, ‘what is this experience trying to teach me’ as opposed to ‘why is this happening to me?’
I’m not saying that whatever is happening is your fault. But I am saying that things happen FOR YOU to teach YOU something. Your goal is to find what that something is. Your goal is to learn from life. The obstacles are there FOR YOU just like your celebrations are. But sometimes we have trouble seeing this side of the story.
But don’t ever forget that each experience is temporary. But ask your self this: how do I want to come out of each experience? Because although life is fleeting, it’s meant to be enjoyable.
So, how do you want to play this game? Do you want to sit out and blame others or do you want to learn and excel?
